Even those who can’t afford to buy them are interested in knowing more about them. To put things in perspective, some of these heavy bikes cost more than Rs.5M.

Suzuki Hayabusa

Hayabusa is a sports bike named after the fastest bird/animal on the planet – Peregrine Falcon. It was introduced by Suzuki in 1999. Its top speed claims are different due to varying engine sizes. The highest recorded speed for this bike is 311.945 mph (502.027 km/h).

V Rod or VRSC (V-twin racing street custom) is a heavy bike made by Harley Davidson from 1999 to 2017. Its other name is muscle bike. We all know this motorcycle from the “Terminator” series in which Arnold Schwarzenegger was the rider of this bike. It was the first bike by this manufacturer to have DOHC and liquid cooling. Yamaha R1 (YZF)

Ninja H2R (track) is a dream machine of many heavy bike enthusiasts in Pakistan. The company started the production of H2R in 2015 and it is still available in the market. You will find many Chinese copies of this bike available in the local market.

It has a supercharged (two-speed centrifugal) 998 cc inline-4 DOHC engine. The numbers like 310 hp @ 14,000 rpm and 156 N⋅m torque @12,500 rpm make it among the most powerful bikes. Many of us know the Suzuki Intruder due to its similarities with Harley Davidson V Rod. The latest edition (2013-2016) of this heavy bike has a 1,198 cc liquid cooled 4-valve/cyl. desmodromic 90° V-twin engine. It produces 202 hp and 140 N⋅m torque. Many of its Chinese replicas are available in Pakistan. These obviously don’t come close to the original bike.

It is important to mention here that the above mentioned heavy bikes are not available in new condition in the local market. But still, many people have them due to their love for these sports bikes. Some of these motorbikes have higher prices than popular cars in Pakistan such as Civic, Sonata, Sportage, etc. We can confidently say that only an enthusiast can afford this luxury ride.
