LG Reveals First Android One Smartphone – The G7 One

The G7 One is not going to run LG software and instead it will have a stripped down version of Android from Google. This was a good decision made by LG as its operating software was subpar even though smartphones like G7 ThinQ were amazing offerings from the brand. LG is also deciding to launch another variant of the G7 – the G7 Fit which is going to be a cheaper alternative to the G7 One.

The G7 One will have Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 processor which is found in several high-end smartphones from Samsung and other popular brands. There will also be a 6.1-inch notched display coupled with Boombox speaker borrowed from the G7 ThinQ. This is going to be LG’s Super Bright Display having a resolution of 3120×1440 pixels. Such a display technology will make it easier to use the smartphone in the outdoors.

To the dismay of many consumers, the G7 One does not have a dual camera. At the front, there is an 8 MP camera and a 16 MP rear facing camera. For the rear camera, a larger aperture will be conducive to good performance under low light conditions. The internal storage is limited to 32GB which can be extended with the help of microSD card. The RAM is also limited to 4 GB with a 3000 mAh battery. The battery will come with Quick Charge 3.0 technology for faster charging.

On the rear of the phone you will find the fingerprint scanner just below the 16 MP camera lens. There will be Adreno 540 GPU in the G7 One and it will run Android 8.1 Oreo. Moreover, you will also be able to get a dual-SIM phone.
