Well! Many of you will be confused about why the company has increased the price of only one model (YBR125G). Let’s bring you out of this confusion. As per the trend, the company increased the prices before introducing the new model of YBR125 & YB125Z DX. So, we can expect a new model of YBR125G in the coming days.
This significant price increase for the YBR G model is likely to disappoint customers as the company has recently increased the price for YBR125 & YB125Z DX new model. It’s quite frustrating, isn’t it? You see, it’s a common practice among bike companies to jack up prices when the dollar rate rises even a little, but they rarely seem to bring them down when the rate decreases.
What makes it even more puzzling is that most bike manufacturing is localized. You’d naturally assume that with localized production, companies wouldn’t have to make such substantial price hikes when the dollar rate goes up. But that’s clearly not the case.
Yamaha Bikes’ Sales
Now, here’s some bad news for Yamaha! Their year-on-year sales took a nosedive, plummeting by a staggering 40% in October. It’s safe to say that customers are not going to take this price hike lightly even if it’s for the new model. We may probably start seeing the negative impact on Yamaha’s bike sales in the coming months too.
