What Could Be Introduced in the New 2024 Model? Customers’ Expectations
Did something catch your eye that’s missing in the features listed above? Well, there’s always room for improvement. So, let’s see what people were expecting from the new model (YBR 2024).
Digital instrument Cluster
YBR and its “G” model, both have analogue instrument clusters. Both models now cost over 4.5 lacs and at this price, a digital instrument cluster was not a big demand.
Rear Disc Brake
Although YBR 125 has a single piston disc brake on the front side, its rear wheel comes with a drum brake. It was now time that Yamaha could have brought a disc brake on the rear side as well.
Upgraded Air Scoops Design / Shape
Well! The YBR has been coming with almost the same air scoops since its introduction. Many people wanted a new design (not just stickers but shape as well).
Initially, YBR was introduced with a chrome color exhaust that was known for less noise. After that, the company introduced a much localized exhaust (with more sound) as it was demanded by the customers. But now, many people are saying “in search of gold, we lost diamonds”. Now, they want the same old exhaust with much better quality & less noise.
Yes! You read it right! YBR may have a wider seat that many relate to comfort. But many of its owners complain about the hardness of its seat foam. The company could have improved the cushioning to make it more comfortable during longer rides.
Engine Kill Switch
Many want an engine kill switch which is available in a few other bikes (especially Suzuki’s motorcycles). As YBR 125 is one of the most expensive 125cc bikes in the country, it is a feature many wanted in it.
Dipper Switch (light high/low beam)
Dipper switch is among the most demanded items in YBR 125. And this demand is not a big one as some other bikes of the same category (or price range) already have it..
New Alloy Rim Design
People are getting bored after looking at the same style of YBR’s Alloy rim for almost 7-8 years now. They were expecting a new alloy rim design for the supreme 125cc bike.
Better Shock Absorbers
It might be shocking news for some people as many of us think YBR shocks are the best in the 125cc category. Yes! They are the best but only for major bumps and jumps but not much when it comes to small jerks. So, the company must consider it seriously and pave out a way to make the ride more comfortable.
YBR has got a great shape but there is one prominent flaw (for many people), the carrier rack. It looks pretty old-fashioned. The company could have introduced a modern carrier to improve YBR’s overall aesthetics.
New Light Design
New light design is what some people were expecting in the new YBR 2024 model. We are talking about the modification in both models.
Well! It might be too much to ask but some YBR lovers also really wanted to see DRLs in the Yamaha YBR 125.
So, Yamaha decided to spruce up the YBR125, realizing old isn’t always gold. But wait for it… the big change? Mostly just new stickers. Out with the iconic blue, and in comes Metallic Bluish Gray. Now, here’s the head-scratcher, the price has increased, and we are left wondering, ‘Where’s the big change?’ Yamaha, giving us a makeover with more sticker magic than a grand transformation!
