It seems, every car manufacturer wants to enter Pakistan’s crossover SUV market due to rapid growth opportunities. And KIA Lucky Motors is no exception. This is why they are looking to introduce a compact (C-segment) crossover SUV – Peugeot 3008 in Pakistan.
Looking at its expected price and possible features, it might give a tough competition to the KIA Sportage, Proton X70, Hyundai Tucson, MG HS, and Toyota Rush. Moreover, many other SUVs such as DFSK Glory 500, Proton X50, Changan Oshan X7, GAC GS3 2022, are going to be launched in 2022. Exterior
The right balance between strength and smoothness is what we see looking at the Peugeot 3008. Its new endless grille along with the wings design in the extension gives the front side a strong personality. It has DRLs on the outer sides and below the sharp LED headlights. R19” alloy wheels with diamond-cut aluminum design are the most visible elements when we look at the sides of this vehicle. However, the expected variant in Pakistan is likely to have R18” alloy wheels. Coming to its rear side, it has unique claw LED backlights that give it a sporty look.

The only variant listed on KIA Lucky Motors official website is the one having a PureTech 1.6L Turbo petrol engine. There isn’t any official announcement about if the company will launch the hybrid variant in Pakistan or not.

Peugeot 3008 comes with various types of engines, but the company’s official website in Pakistan shows that it will have a 1.6L PureTech turbo petrol engine. As per the official website of Peugeot, this engine produces about 162 hp (121Kw) @6000 RPM and 240 Nm torque @1400 RPM. It has a 6-speed automatic transmission. This variant comes with a front-wheel-drive whereas the hybrid trims have four-wheel drive as well. The performance of this crossover SUV is quite impressive due to the Turbo engine. With modes like mud, standard, snow, and sand, it is capable of delivering even in the most challenging terrains.

The average fuel economy or mileage of the 1.6L Turbocharged Peugeot 3008 is about 15 Km/l. This will vary depending upon the driving style and other conditions.

There isn’t any official announcement about the Peugeot 3008 price. But we can make a smart guess looking at its price in Malaysia where it sells for 157,716 Ringgit which is about 6,660,000 Pakistani Rupees. However, the suitable price tag in the local market can be around 5.5M to 6M.
