Xiaomi was supposed to launch its latest smartphones on December 1 2022. However, with the death of a former Chinese president, the launch had to be delayed. However, now the two phones have been launched in China. Before the launch, there was much hype surrounding these phones as Xiaomi was expected to introduce new Qualcomm chipsets and make major improvements in the camera department. So, let’s dig in and see whether these two phones live up to their hype.

Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro Price
Before anything else, our readers would be interested in knowing the price of these two. Xiaomi has launched the base model with the price tag of $575 (approx Rs.135,000)and 13 Pro for $750 (approx Rs.175,000). These prices are without taxes, so their actual market price in Pakistan would be a lot higher.
Since there is a noticeable price difference between the two, let’s see their specifications to justify this price difference.

As can be seen, the price difference between the two is due to their differences in display screen size, main camera and battery features with Xiaomi 13 Pro being the superior phone.
Design
Let’s take a look at some of the distinctive features of Xiaomi 13:

- 1080p screen with HDR10+ support
- 1900 nits peak brightness
- Dolby Vision
The phone however lacks LTPO AMOLED display.
Now, let’s take a look at what its Pro sibling has to offer:

- Gorilla Glass protection
- 1900 nits peak brightness
Both phones come equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which is the latest chipset from the company. So, expect both phones to be blazing fast.
Camera
As can be seen above, one of the main differences between the two is in the camera. So, let’s dig a bit deeper.
But let’s talk about what is common between the two?
Both phones can capture up to 8K videos and have a 32MP wide-angle selfie camera and this is where their differences start. The base model comes with a 50MP image sensor behind the main camera, the Pro model comes with 1-inch type Sony IMX989 sensor. In addition, the phone is equipped with a 50MP shooter. Then there are another two 50MP cameras for ultrawide shoots and telephoto zoom.
So, if you are into photography, Xiaomi 13 Pro should be your clear choice.
Now, let’s talk about their battery life and related information.
Battery
There’s a difference in their battery sizes and their charging speeds. For example, the Pro model’s battery is bigger than the base model’s battery. This may or may not mean that its battery would last longer as compared to Xiaomi 13s battery. However, 50W wireless charging, 10W reverse wireless is the same in both models. Though the Pro model has 120W wired charging as compared to 67W wired charging in the base model.
