Well! We all have an idea that Samsung is the top mobile brand in Pakistan. But do you know the 2nd, 3rd or top 10 phone brands operating in the country? The list of best mobile companies in Pakistan is going to leave many surprised as it differs a lot compared to the top mobile brands in the world.

As we can see in the chart, the best mobile brand in Pakistan is no other than Samsung with nearly 23% of the mobile phone market share in Pakistan. It is followed by Vivo & Oppo with 13.17% and 13.15% market shares respectively. 


Infinix is the 4th biggest smartphone brand in Pakistan with nearly 11% market share. Surprisingly, Huawei has managed to be in the top 5 mobile phone companies in Pakistan with an 8.33% market share. However, Tecno is catching up and may soon replace Huawei and take the 5th place as people are losing interest in Huawei phones due to OS and Google Play Store issues.

Is Samsung Really the Top Mobile Company in Pakistan?

We all know that Samsung is the market leader here. But from another perspective, there is a group of companies that beats it in terms of market share. We are talking about Oppo, Vivo, Realme, and OnePlus as all of them have the same roots. BBK Electronics Corporation is the parent company of Oppo and Vivo. OnePlus is a subsidiary of Oppo whereas Realme was also a sub-brand of Oppo. So, let’s see their combined market share compared to the others.

Chinese Vs Other Mobile Companies in Pakistan

There was a time when most people in Pakistan tended to avoid Chinese mobile phones. But the dynamics have changed now. Let’s see the total market share of Chinese companies vs others in Pakistan. 


As we can see, Chinese mobile phone brands have captured over 60% market share in Pakistan. It shows how dominant Chinese companies are nowadays in the Pakistani smartphone market. The main reason is the value-to-money which these companies give to the consumers compared to other brands as shown in the chart. 

World’s Best Mobile Companies 

When we think of the top mobile brands in the world, Apple and Samsung strike our minds instantly. It is true as Apple has got slightly more market share compared to Samsung from November 2021 to November 2022. Surprisingly, Xiaomi is the 3rd biggest mobile phone company with over 12% of the global market share compared to its 8th position in Pakistan. It shows there is a lot of gap for Xiaomi to fill in the country. It also indicates that the progress of Xiaomi’s market share in Pakistan will be one of the keys to improving its position globally.


Huawei is standing in 4th place in terms of global market share despite restrictions and the unavailability of Google Play services on its phones. Shockingly, Infinix and Tecno which are among the top 10 mobile brands in Pakistan are not present in the list of the world’s top 10 mobile companies. 


The above-mentioned charts show that the top mobile brands in Pakistan are different from the world’s top mobile companies. We have seen that Samsung may be the best mobile company in Pakistan in terms of market share. But if we combine Oppo, Vivo, Realme, and OnePlus market shares as they have the same roots, they easily take the 1st place in this list.


A surprising fact is that Chinese mobile brands are dominating the Pakistani Smartphone market with over 60% of Pakistan’s total mobile market share. As the dollar rate is increasing, we will have to see the market share of each brand closely for the year 2023.
