Categories of Thailand Visa

Following are some of the categories of Thailand visa. You can apply according to the purpose of visit:

  • Tourist Visa
  • Non-Immigrant Visa (Education and Business)

Thailand Visit Visa From Pakistan

Pakistanis visiting Thailand for the purpose of tourism should apply for a visit visa. You can either get a single entry visit visa or a multiple entry visa.

Following are documents that you will need to have:

  • Two sets of application forms
  • A personal covering letter with your name, passport number, date of travel, purpose of visit and other important information
  • Account maintenance certificate
  • Reference letter from your employer which should include your job title, duration of employment, and salary. The letter should be printed on your company letterhead.
  • Photocopy of CNIC
  • NTN number
  • Colored photographs
  • Family Registration Certificate (FRC), if required
  • Original passport and two copies of your passport
  • Confirmed and non-refundable ticket
  • Documents related to your accommodation
  • 1 year bank statement and a certified covering letter from the bank

Note: If you are applying for a multiple entry visa, your bank account must have money exceeding Rs.650,000 for the past 6 consecutive months.

What Is the Validity of a Thailand Visit Visa From Pakistan?

If you are applying for a visit visa your visa will be valid for a period of 3 months, whereas a multiple entry visa will be valid for 6 months. 

What Is Thailand’s Visit Visa Fee for Pakistanis?

As per the information on the official website of Thai Embassy in Pakistan, single entry visa is Rs.5,000, whereas multiple entry cost Rs.25,000.

Non-Immigrant Visa

Non-Immigrant visa is further divide into two types:

  1. Non-Immigrant Education
  2. Non-Immigrant Business 

1. Non-Immigrant Education

People who want to study in a private or government institution in Thailand can apply for a non-immigrant visa, also known as non-ed visa. Those who want to attend a training session with a private, government or international organization are also eligible for this visa type.

Study:

People who are going to attend an educational institution need the following documents:

  • Personal covering letter with important information like passport number, name, purpose of visit and date of travel
  • Letter with the educational qualification of the applicant
  • Letter of acceptance from the institution in Thailand
  • Letter from Thai government accepting the applicant to study in the respective institution
  • A copy of the applicant’s CNIC
  • Colored photographs
  • Original passport and copy of the passport
  • Documents related to the accommodation
  • Confirmed and non-refundable ticket
  • 1 year bank statement and a certified covering letter
  • Documents that show that the applicant is trustworthy

Training/Attending Conferences:

People who are going to attend conferences and training sessions require the following documents:

  • Personal covering letter with important information like passport number, name, purpose of visit and date of travel
  • Letter from the organization the applicant is working at. The letter should mention the relation of employee to the organization, no objection regarding the applicant’s travel, information regarding the invitation letter for the applicant from the organization in Thailand and date of leave
  • Registration paper of the organization in Thailand if it is not a governmental or international organization
  • Copy of applicant’s CNIC
  • Colored photographs
  • Original passport and copy of passport
  • Confirmed and non-refundable air ticket
  • Hotel booking
  • 1 year bank statement and a certified covering letter from the bank

What Is the Validity of a Thailand Non-ED Visa?

A Thailand Non-ED Visa is valid for a period of 3 months. 

2. Non-Immigrant Business 

People who want to contact or work for a private company should apply for a non-immigrant business visa, also known as Non-B.

Contact a Company:

Following are the required documents for this visa category:

  • Personal covering letter with important information like passport number, name, purpose of visit and date of travel
  • Original passport and copy
  • NTN number
  • Letter from the organization where the applicant is employed. The letter should include the applicant’s relationship with the company, no objection on employee’s travel, date of leave and other important information
  • Organization’s registration papers if the organization is not international or governmental
  • Invitation letter from Thai organization which should mention the name of the company, the name and passport number of the person they have invited, purpose of invitation and date of business meeting
  • Company’s registration confirmation paper issued by the Department of Business Development (DBD). 
  • Thai company’s registration paper
  • Copy of company’s recent financial balance 
  • Copy of applicant’s CNIC
  • Hotel booking
  • 1 year bank statement and a certified covering letter from the bank

Work for a Company:

Somebody who is going to work for a private company will need the following documents:

  • Personal covering letter with important information like passport number, name, purpose of visit and date of travel
  • Letter from the organization where the applicant is employed. The letter should include the applicant’s relationship with the company, no objection on employee’s travel, date of 
  • leave and other important information
  • NTN Number
  • Account Maintenance Certificate
  • Original passport and copy
  • Officially confirmed form WP 3 (Pre-work permit approval letter)
  • Photographs of the applicant
  • Registration papers of the company if it is not governmental or international
  • Invitation letter from Thai company consisting of the company’s name, name and passport number of the applicant, information on the employment of the applicant, etc. 
  • Company’s registration confirmation paper issued by the DBD
  • Thai company’s registration paper
  • Thai company’s financial balance in recent years
  • Tax income of Thai company in the past year
  • List of foreign employees working in Thai company in the past year
  • Map identifying the location of the company
  • FRC (if required)
  • Employment contract between the company and the applicant
  • Copy of applicant’s CNIC
  • Confirmed and non-refundable air ticket
  • 1 year bank statement and a certified covering letter from the bank

What Is the Validity of a Thailand Non-B Visa?

A single entry Non-B visa is valid for 3 months, whereas a multiple entry visa is valid for 1 year. 

What Is Thailand’s Visa Fee for Non-Immigrant Visa?

As per the information on the official website of Thai Embassy in Pakistan, single entry non-immigrant visa cost is Rs.12,000, whereas multiple entry costs Rs.25,000.
