Hyundai to launch Elantra 1.6L in Pakistan

Our sources have confirmed that Hyundai will launch a 1.6L variant of Elantra. Hyundai launched Elantra in March 2021 in Pakistan. It’s a C segment sedan that competes against Toyota Corolla Grande and Honda Civic. Elantra received a good response for a new entrant and soon became the favorite of many. From Jan 2022 to Feb 2022, sales of Hyundai Elantra increased by 186%.

Encouraged by this positive response, the Korean automaker has now decided to launch Elantra 1.6L in Pakistan. This means this sedan will compete with the top of the line variants of Toyota Yaris and Honda City in the local market.

Elantra 1.6L Price in Pakistan

It is expected to launch with a price tag of Rs.3.5 million (approximately). This may also impact the sales of Toyota Corolla Altis 1.6 X.

Elantra 1.6L Launch Date in Pakistan

It feels like Hyundai wants to surprise its customers with the new variant launching before this Eid. Elantra 1.6L is expected to launch in the last week of April.

Elantra 1.6L Interior & Exterior

From what our sources have confirmed, the new 1.6L Elantra shares the same exterior design as the 2.0L version. The headlights are the same tetra-LED headlights with DRL in it. Despite featuring the same exterior, the interior is updated. The instrument cluster is changed from the 2.0L variant. The infotainment display is smaller in this variant. Elantra 1.6L would come with an 8-inch infotainment display screen.

Like it’s 2.0L counterpart, Hyundai Elantra 1.6L would come with a sunroof. The sunroof is absent in top of the line variants of both Yaris and City. Rear AC vents are also there, adding to the comfort and luxury of the rear passengers.

The final details about the Hyundai Elantra are yet to come. We will let you know as soon as more details are confirmed. However, since its a smaller, cheaper version of Hyundai Elantra 2.0L, therefore expect fewer features in it. Meanwhile, let us know what you think about this smaller 1.6L version of the already successful Elantra in Pakistan.
