Petrol Price in Pakistan Expected to Decrease

Great news if the fuel cost was hurting you! Guess what? The petrol price in Pakistan is expected to decrease on the 1st of next month. This anticipated price drop will bring some much-needed relief to the inflation-stricken population.

According to the media reports, the fuel prices are expected to decrease in the next review by the federal government on April 30. This expected decrease in petrol prices is linked to a downward trend in international oil prices. Recent reports reveal a decline in international oil prices, with petrol price falling by $1.86 per barrel to $107.16, and diesel price decreasing by $4.30, now at $104.76 per barrel.

Petrol Price in Pakistan Today

On April 16, 2024, the federal government increased the price of petrol by Rs. 4.53 per liter, bringing the price to Rs. 293.94. Additionally, high-speed diesel saw a rise of Rs. 8.14 per liter, setting the price at Rs. 290.38. These adjustments were part of the mid-April revision of fuel prices by the Finance Division.

Expected Fuel Prices From the 1st of May

Based on the decline in international oil prices, it is predicted that domestic fuel prices will also decrease. Predictions indicate a decrease of Rs. 7.85 in petrol price setting it to Rs. 286.09 per liter, and diesel price to be decreased by Rs. 3.75 bringing it down to Rs. 286.63 per liter.
