Google Pixel 7 Pro Design and Display (D&D)
Design
First of all, the Pixel 7 Pro resembles a lot with its predecessor (Pixel 6 Pro) in terms of design. Even the camera module has the same rail design. But the module comes with silver metallic color and is in a single unit as compared to the black color and pieces structure in the camera module of its predecessor.
On the front side, the bazzles are a little bit smaller than their predecessor. The screen is flat without any curves on the edges. However, the overall design is curvier when we talk about its back, side, and corners. It is still quite thick which Google needs to work on as flagship smartphones are known for their slim designs.

Google Pixel 7 Pro Camera
Coming to the cameras of Google Pixel 7 Pro, all of them look the same as Pixel 6 Pro. It has a triple camera setup with a 50 MP Primary, 48 MP telephoto, and 12 MP ultrawide camera. Although it doesn’t have a dedicated Macro camera, the Macro mode is integrated.
But wait! There is a revolutionary feature introduced by Google. This phone can unblur and remove noise from even old photos taken years ago with any old phone. Also, the new AI algorithms of its next-generation chipset make it possible to get better results even from the same cameras used in Pixel 6 Pro. We have noticed just one flaw as an 8K video recording is missing in this phone.
Its selfie camera is 10.8 MP but doesn’t worry about pixels as they are not the true indicator of picture quality. With new software and chipset, we can expect the results to be better even with a 10.8 MP camera.

Google Pixel 7 Pro: Performance
Here is the department where Google has put a lot of its efforts. Pixel 7 Pro comes with a new generation chipset (Google Tensor G2). It is reported to be 60% faster than the previous generation. Not only the CPU & Chipset but its GPU (Mali-G710 MC10) is also faster than the previous generation. It also supports 35% faster machine learning.
It has 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and the storage type is UFS 3.1. Both elements are going to contribute to boosting the performance of Google Pixel 7 Pro. Due to this, it can be among the best gaming phones.

Google Pixel 7 Pro: Features
Google Pixel 7 Pro comes with most of the latest features like an in-display fingerprint sensor, USB Type-C 3.2, and Bluetooth v5.2. However, there is one surprise for you. Built-in VPN powered by Google One is coming soon in Google Pixel 7 & Pixel 7 Pro. Its noise cancellation is better as it gets 3 microphones for this purpose.
The battery capacity is 500mAh but there is a bit of disappointment as there is still 30W fast charging support. We see many brands introducing 120W fast charging these days and were expecting that Google will introduce better-charging speed in these phones, which is not the case now.

Connectivity | Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS, NFC USB Type-C 3.2 Built-in VPN powered by Google One (coming soon) |

What’s In the Box
- 1 m USB-C to USB-C cable (USB 2.0)
- Quick Start Guide
- Quick Switch Adapter
- SIM tool
Yes, you will not get a 30W charger out of the box but will have to buy it separately. Also, the Type-C cable inside the box is USB 2.0 whereas the phone supports 3.2. Google has definitely done a cost cut and followed others like Apple and Samsung by selling these essential accessories separately.
Final Verdict
Overall, Google Pixel 7 Pro is a pretty decent phone in every aspect. Especially when we talk about its performance as it comes with a new and better chipset. Due to this chipset, the results of the cameras are going to be better (as expected). Also, the display is brighter and there is some change in the design (silver camera bump instead of black).
So, now you are in a better position to make your buying decision. Google phones aren’t officially available in Pakistan. However, you may soon see this phone in the markets (imported by local sellers). But you will need to get it approved by the PTA.
