Expecting a delay in deliveries, Toyota Indus Motor Company (IMC) would start refunding its customers.
This has been confirmed by their CEO, Ali Asghar Jamali who has said that their customers will have the option of either waiting more for the delivery or get a full refund with the full interest.

The company is not taking any further bookings at the moment.
How Long Is the Delay For?
Mr. Jamali has confirmed that there is an additional delay of at least three (03) months from the delivery date written on Provisional Booking Order Form. In addition, if the customers decide to wait, they’ll have to pay the price differential due to the change (increase) in prices.
While the 3 months delay is being quoted, it may be longer. Some Toyota car dealers are quoting the following delay time:

What Is Causing This Delay?
Government of Pakistan and the State Bank of Pakistan in specific.
This is largely the making of supply chain issues in which by interfering, the SBP has further exacerbated the problem.

The restriction on CKD imports is for all auto manufacturers in Pakistan. Therefore, such delays should be expected by all who have booked new cars, irrespective of their make.
In Pakistan, it has been a norm for customers to wait for car deliveries and pay price differential. Therefore, what the Toyota IMC intends to do should be appreciated by all and followed by other car manufacturers in the country.
