The Step-by-Step Guide to Applying for a Learner Driving License in KPK

If you want to drive a car or motorcycle in Peshawar or KPK, you should be at least 18 years of age. The legal age limit for driving a rickshaw, taxi, tractor and commercial vehicle is 21 years. In this blog, we will list all the mandatory requirements for applying for a computerized learner driving license in the province of KPK both for Pakistani and Afghan nationals. 

Here are the remaining mandatory requirements: 

1. Valid CNIC
2. Medical Certificate Form B for non-commercial vehicles or Medical Certificate Form C for commercial vehicles
3. Learner driving license fee is Rs.250

How To Apply for a Learner Driving License in KPK: Step-by-Step Guide 

Once you have the above mentioned documents ready, take them to your nearest driving license center. Your physical presence is mandatory.

1. Issuance of Token – A token will be issued to you after taking the following information:

1. Your name
2. CNIC number
3. Type of license applied for
4. Date
5. Fee amount (fee will be taken at the center)

      2. Once your token number is called, further information will be taken from you, including:

1. Father’s name
2. Address
3. Date of birth

      3. In the next phase of data collection, information related to the following will be stored in the database:

1. Height
2. Weight
3. Blood group

     4. Your picture will be taken

     5. Your computerized learner driving license will be printed. Review the print out for any discrepancies. If all information is correct, the computerized learner driving license will be handed over to you. 

This learner driving license will be valid for 45 days, after which you can take the regular driving license test or renew the learner driving license following the same procedure again.

Learner Driving License for Afghan Nationals 

The fee and medical certificate requirements are the same for Afghan nationals. However, they would be required to furnish the following documents:

1. Valid Afghan Citizen Card issued by NADRA
2. Tenant Information Form (TIF) from your local police station
3. Copy of valid CNIC of your landlord
4. Copy of NOC from Afghan Refugees Commissionerate (ARC)

The rest of the steps are the same as written above.
