Now that you know there is plenty of time before the launch of this phone, here is some important information you need to know. This would help you decide whether you should consider buying this upcoming phone.
Samsung Galaxy S23: Specs & Features
Initially, there was some talk of the S23 coming with a MediaTek chipset. However, it is unlikely. What is expected is a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset – Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, which will be available in all the regions. The phone could come with two internal memory options:
- 128GB 8GB RAM
- 256GB 8GB RAM
Samsung Galaxy S22 comes with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor; however, the internal storage options in both the phones are expected to be the same.
Camera & Battery
Samsung Galaxy S22 comes with a 50 MP camera; Samsung Galaxy S23 is expected to come with a 200 MP camera. This, if true, would be a major upgrade. This would help you take much better night pictures and videos. The telephoto shots will also be better though both phones are likely to have the same optical zoom distances (3✕).
Another moderate but mentionable upgrade is expected in the selfie camera. While S22 comes with 10MP, the upcoming flagship phone’s selfie camera is expected to be 12MP.
The phone’s top model – Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is expected to come with a 5000mAh battery. Its mid-tier model – S23 Plus is expected to have a 4700mAh battery. Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus has a 4500mAh battery.
Samsung Galaxy S23: Design & Display
The comparison of Galaxy S23 and S22 in terms of design and display are expected to be similar. For example, expect a lot of similarities between S23 and S23 Plus with their predecessors in terms of having the similar metal frames, flat screens and a punch-hole camera in the same position.
Also, don’t expect a difference in their screen sizes and dimensions.
S23 | 6.1inch, 1080✕2340 display |
S23 Plus | 6.6 inch, 1080✕2340 display |
S23 Ultra | 6.8 inch, 1440✕3088 display |
These dimensions are the same as in Samsung Galaxy S22, S22Plus and S22 Ultra.
In short, do not expect a lot of difference in the two phones when it comes to their design and display specs.
Samsung Galaxy S23 Price in Pakistan
In the US, the phone’s base model model – S23 – is expected to be launched at $800. This is the price S22 and its predecessor, S21 was launched at. So Samsung might keep the lunch price streak going here.
If true, then expect S23 Plus and S23 Ultra to be launched at the price of S22 Plus and S22 Ultra – $1000 and $1200 respectively.
In Pakistan, the straight up conversion would land this phone in Rs.182,000 to Rs.185,000 range. This is exclusive of all taxation and duties. This is for the base model.
