As always, the tech world is once again rife with some exciting news. Perhaps, some more interesting than the others but all noteworthy nonetheless.

iPhone 14 Selfie Camera: What We Know So Far

iPhone 14 is expected to be launched in the Fall of 2022. We have covered its expected features in our March 2022 blogs. However, at that time it was not known how different it would be in terms of camera as compared to the iPhone 13. What we know now about its expected front camera makes it worth mentioning in our blog section.

A Whole New Way of Taking Selfies

iPhone cameras keep getting better with each successive phone, however this can’t be said for the front or selfie cameras. This is about to change now as the upcoming iPhone 14 selfie camera is expected to have the following:

  • Autofocus – means clearer, sharper, crispier selfies
  • 6-element lens
  • Larger f/1.9 aperture (iPhone 13 Pro has f/2.2. aperture). This means better selfies in low-light conditions

iPhone 14 Front Camera: Design

iPhone front cameras are notch on top of the display. However, now it is expected to be a pill-shaped cutout.

Apple AR Glasses

Apple Augmented Reality (AR) glasses are perhaps the most awaited glasses of all time. Though not expected to be launched anytime soon (they’re expected to arrive in the market in 2023 or 2025), here’s what’s expected of them:

  • Price: $500 or higher
  • Design: They’d look like regular glasses except that they’ll have extra sensors and features
  • Features: They would send images directly into your eyes. You’d be able to control its functions through your Apple phone, taps and swipes

Once again, these are the expected or rumored features of Apple glasses. The company has not officially acknowledged their existence yet. There’s a remote chance that they may not arrive at all.

What is Augmented Reality?

First thing first, AR is different from VR (Virtual Reality). In VR, you are immersed in a completely virtual world. In AR, however, our physical environment is blended with the digital elements.

The easiest way to understand AR is to think of Facebook Messenger or Snapchat. These apps can digitally alter the way you look and can map virtual objects onto your face to make you look like something else.

Metaverse VR

Giving a new twist to virtual reality, Mark Zuckerberg has come up with a grand idea of connecting the virtual world in a completely different way. In this world, people will be able to shop, work, interact and play with each other.

People in this world will be able to create avatars of themselves and buy clothes from real money that go up to five figures. Although it is nowhere near the shipping process, Zuckerberg has given a glimpse of the prototype hardware to the world and has explained that his vision behind producing these is creating scenes in perfect fidelity.
