Toyota IMC Started Taking Bookings of Corolla 1.6 “CVT” Variant

Toyota Indus Motor Company has come up with a surprise for Corolla lovers. The company has started taking bookings for the Corolla 1.6 Constant Variable Transmission (CVT )variant. Previously, Corolla 1.6 was available in MT, AT, and Special Edition variants. It is important to note that the Corolla 1.8 was already available with CVT transmission. 

CVT is a type of automatic transmission but better than the simple one as it improves the driving experience. It also improves the fuel efficiency of the car. As per different sources, the “new” 1.6 will have its fuel economy improved by 1 – 2 km/l . The current 1.6 Corolla offers around 12 km/l.

Toyota Corolla 1.6 CVT Price in Pakistan

One of the authorized dealers of Toyota IMC told us that the Corolla 1.6 CVT is available at the same price (Rs.4,789,000 ex-factory) as Corolla 1.6 AT. But they also said that its price can increase in the near future. 

If the price remains the same, it will be a great addition to the Corolla 1600cc lineup. The company is probably keeping the price just for a short period so more orders are booked. There are high chances that the company will announce a price hike after some time. 

As per the dealer, you can book it by paying Rs.1M. 

Corolla 1.6 CVT Delivery

Its tentative delivery time is February / March 2023. Let’s see if the customers get the car within the promised delivery time as most companies are stopping production for some time due to supply chain issues. 

If you can’t wait that long, you can buy a Corolla 1.6 in Pakistan right now.

It is the first surprise of September and a good one for the Corolla lovers. The new Corolla is expected to come with a better driving experience and lower fuel consumption.  However, no new changes or features are expected to be introduced in the “new” Corolla.
