In April 2022, the UAE government made some radical changes in their immigarition policies, especially visa policies. These changes are now in effect and can benefit many Pakistanis in a variety of ways.

You can also apply for a 5-year, multi-entry tourist visa which allows you to stay in the UAE for upto 90 days in a row. 

Golden Visa UAE

The Golden Visa scheme offers long-term residency visas for up to 10 years and holders of this visa can own 100 percent of their businesses. These visas are renewable. Golden visa holders who stay outside of the UAE will not have their permits canceled according to the latest changes. 

Who Is Eligible for a Golden Visa?

The following skilled professionals can apply for this visa:

  • Investors
  • Researchers
  • Medical Professionals
  • Education
  • Engineering
  • IT
  • Outstanding students and graduates

Holders of this visa can sponsor their family members, including spouse and children as well as unlimited domestic labor. They can stay inside the UAE as long as the visa remains valid even if the visa holder has died. 

Monthly Salary Requirement – This has been reduced to AED 30,000 from previously AED 50,000. 

Green Visa UAE

It is also a type of renewable, residency visa which allows you to stay in the UAE for 5-years without requiring a UAE national or employer to sponsor your visa; you can sponsor yourself. 

Some of the main benefits for the holders of this visa are:

  • Sponsor family members including spouse and children and first-degree relatives
  • Parents are able to sponsor their male children of age up to 25. Previously the age limit was 18. There is no age limit for unmarried daughters and children with disabilities. 

Once this visa expires or gets canceled, the holder will have upto 6 months rather than one month (previous rule) to stay inside the country. 

Who Is Eligible for a Green Visa?

  • Freelancers
  • Investors
  • Skilled workers

Job Exploration Visa

Unlike before, now talented professionals looking for jobs in the UAE will not need a sponsor or host. Fresh graduates from the top 500 universities in the world are eligible to apply for this visa.  

Also, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) classify the following as sought after professions:

  1. Legislators, managers and business executives
  2. Professionals in scientific, technical and human fields
  3. Technicians in scientific, technical and humanitarian fields

The above mentioned are also eligible to apply for the job exploration visa.
