Smartphone industry has started producing some very powerful devices that can even compete with modern laptops. Vivo is one such manufacturer known for making powerful smartphones. We all know about Vivo’s flagship “X series”. This time, the company has introduced its most powerful device – Vivo X80.
So, what stands out in this phone? For beginners, camera. Vivo has come up with the best camera (in terms of picture quality). But there’s more to this phone than its camera.

Let’s dive in and see what makes X80 Vivo’s smartest device in Pakistan.
Vivo X80 Design and Display (D&D)
Design
First of all, the device is larger and thicker than its predecessor Vivo X70. The overall design seems nice with a more rectangular look and less sharper edges. On the rear, there’s a wider camera module in rectangular shape. However, the inner shape of the camera module is circular, giving its back an elegant look. It comes in both glass back and leather back options. Its thickness is the only drawback in its design.
Dimensions (mm) | 165 x 75.2 x 8.3 or 8.8 |
Weight (g) | 203/206 |
Build | Glass front, glass back or eco leather back |
Display
This time, Vivo has introduced a larger size for its X80 (6.78”) than the X70 (6.56”). In terms of display, it has Full HD + Amoled Panel that supports HDR10+, 120Hz refresh rate, and 1500 nits (peak brightness). It means its display quality is fascinating, touch response is impressive, and is highly visible in bright outdoor lighting conditions.
Display Type | AMOLED, 120Hz, HDR, 1500 nits (peak) |
Size | AMOLED, 120Hz, HDR, 1500 nits (peak), 1080 x 2400 pixels, 20:9 ratio (~388 ppi density) |
Vivo X80 Camera the Best So Far?
As mentioned earlier, the Vivo X80 camera is among the best ever.
Although it has a triple camera setup, all the cameras are truly functional. Its 50 MP (1/1.49″) primary sensor along with Zeiss Optics produce stunning results with true colors. The 12 MP telephoto lens provides 2x optical zoom. Then another 12 MP camera is available for ultrawide shots. Its selfie camera is 32MP 26mm (wide) with a 1/2.8″ sensor and HDR support.
Vivo X80 video department is also impressive with upto 4K recording @30/60fps. Selfie camera also supports 4K video recording @30fps.
However, Vivo has missed out with a super slow motion camera that many other companies are providing in their flagships. Another thing lacking is the 8K video recording.

Vivo X80 Performance
Performance was an issue with the Vivo’s devices in the past but not anymore. Vivo X80 has the best Mediatek processor (Dimensity 9000) available in the market. As per different comparisons, this processor has performed better than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 (best Snapdragon processor yet).
This device comes with the Android 12 OS along with Vivo’s Funtouch 12 overlay. So, you are going to see some software upgrades here as well with some new features.
Gaming performance is going to be impressive as the company has introduced Mali-G710 MC10 (a powerful GPU) in it.
With UFS 3.1 storage type, everything is going to load quite faster. In Pakistan, it is introduced only in the 12GB RAM / 256GB ROM version.
