Design

Let’s take a look at the design of the new Samsung phone in detail.

Body

The body of Galaxy A13 has a simple and minimalistic design. Although its plastic unibody makes it weigh much less than most mobile phones, it does not guarantee a sturdy build. It looks captivating from afar but the glossy plastic finish gives it a cheaper look up close. It does not have much elegance to it like the phones with metal bodies. Its body does not have a great grip either. It is rather slippery.

At the bottom, there is a headphone jack of 5mm, a speaker and a USB-C port for charging. The power button present at the right side also acts as a fingerprint scanner. The volume button is placed just above the power button on the same side. Samsung A13 does not offer waterproofing or dustproofing.

Screen

Samsung Galaxy A13 has a Gorilla Glass 5 display protection. The screen is large (6.6 inches) and offers a good quality display with bright colors.  There is a dark plastic frame sticking out on all four sides of the phone which sort of acts as a shield.  The display screen is almost flat which makes it easy to swipe fingers across the screen. Placing a screen protector can further help protect the display screen.

Performance

One of the major drawbacks of Samsung A13 is that it has slow and sluggish performance. It offers a refresh rate of 60 Hz. With time, it only tends to worsen. This phone uses Exynos 850 as a processor which is pretty slow. It takes plenty of time to simply load apps. Social media scrolling is not fun at all. The processor is less powerful which makes it a bad gaming phone. If you are an enthusiastic gamer, this phone is not for you. The sound quality of speakers is not that good either but with the use of headphones, it can be made better.

Other than its own storage, Samsung A13 provides additional storage in the form of a microSD card which can store up to 1TB of data. This SD card is to be placed in the SIM tray which can be pulled out from the left. Besides the microSD card, the SIM tray provides an additional space for a second micro-SIM. Plus point, the phone is Dual-SIM!

If we talk about the local connectivity, the hardware of Galaxy A13 includes Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5 and NFC. It also provides GPS navigation and supports 4G.

Camera

The Quad-camera system on the rear gives Samsung A13 an interesting look. The camera quality is up to the mark especially when taking pictures in the daylight. However in low light conditions, it may be a challenge. The selfie camera is a notch on the top middle of the screen. It is not very high-quality. All the specs for the camera are mentioned above.

Battery Life

Galaxy A13 has a commendable battery life for the price it demands. The battery has a capacity of 5000mAh which can easily last up to 2 days. It has a fast charging of 15W which is not quite speedy. Another major drawback of this phone is that it does not come with a charger. You will have to use another C-type charger to charge your phone. Also, it does not support wireless charging.

Samsung Galaxy A13 Price in Pakistan

The price of the new Samsung Galaxy A13 varies; 64 GB costs Rs.39,500, whereas the one with 128 GB costs Rs.43,100.

You can easily buy Samsung Galaxy A13 from OLX Pakistan’s website.

Final Verdict

Our take on Samsung Galaxy A13 is that it is not the best choice to make if you require a fast processor. It may be cheap but the slow performance does not make this phone a great one to use. With passing time, it can cause more trouble for the user. With the price it demands, Galaxy A13 offers some great features but you could expect it to do better in performance. It is safe to say that at a similar price, you can find much better options.
