Samsung is expected to launch the three models of its upcoming flagship smartphone Samsung Galaxy S23 next month. We have already covered the expected specs, features and price of Samsung Galaxy S23 base and ultra models in our previous blogs. In this blog, with the addition of information on Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus, you’ll get the complete information on what to expect of the upcoming S23 Series.

As can be seen, with the exception of processing speed, storage, RAM and camera specs, there are noticeable differences between the three. Due to this, there would also be a price difference, which would be discussed later in the blog.

Let’s figure out how different the S23 would be from its predecessor, Samsung Galaxy S22.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Vs. S23 Plus Vs. S23 Ultra: Design & Display

Expect striking design and display similarities between S22 and S23 across all the three models. Just like Galaxy S22 three models – base, plus and ultra, which comes with 6.1, 6.6 and 6.8 inch display screens – Samsung Galaxy S23s three models could also be introduced with the same display screen sizes. All three upcoming models are expected to offer a 120Hz refresh rate. So, should we not expect any differences between the two series?

No! Samsung Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus are expected to look like the Ultra models. This means the rear camera lenses could be vertically and individually stacked. In other words, all the three phones will have a very similar design. If true, this would indeed be a radical change from the design of previous Galaxy models.

Camera & Battery Comparison

Expect all the three models to come fitted with the same front camera and rear cameras especially in the case of base and plus models. Though in the ultra model, the main camera is expected to be of 200 MP. In the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, the main camera is of 108 MP. With the Galaxy S23 in hand, you should be able to take exceptional photos. Though some would consider the upcoming ultra model’s front camera as a downgrade since Galaxy S22 Ultra’s front camera is of 40 MP.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra and S23 Ultra are likely to have the same battery – 5,000 mAh. The ultra model requires this battery as it is the biggest of the three models with the display screen size of 6.8 inch. However, you can expect a change in the battery size of S23 base and plus as compared to the S22 base and plus. The upcoming models are expected to be fitted with slightly bigger batteries which is always welcomed. Though it may not necessarily mean that these two phones would last longer than their predecessors, since they’d be equipped with the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip.

As for the charging speed of the two series, expect no difference between the S22 and the upcoming S23 series.

Performance

Speaking of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, all three models are expected to be launched with the latest chip. Interestingly, when the three models of Galaxy S22 were launched, they also came with the then latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip.

Should you need to compare this chip’s performance with that of the iPhone, you could with A15 Bionic which comes in the Apple iPhone 14. Though A16 Bionic which comes in the iPhone 14 Pro Max would still far outweigh the performance of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.

In addition, what could enhance the performance of these phones is their new cooling system which is expected to prevent these phones from overheating.

There are also Storage and RAM differences between the base and plus models as compared to the ultra model. If you need more storage and speed then consider looking at the ultra model.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Series Price & Launch in Pakistan

If the launch is in the first week of February 2023, then these phones could be available in the market by the middle of the month.

Samsung is also expected to follow the same price regime it adopted at the time of the launch of the three models of Galaxy S22, which was:
