Both phones share similar specs and a low price, but the Plus version comes with a larger 6,000 mAh battery and faster 18W wired charging, surpassing the Pro’s 5,000 mAh battery with 10W charging. Design & Display
As can be seen above, both phones feature a 6.6-inch IPS LCD display with a 720p resolution and a high 120Hz refresh rate. The screen has a maximum brightness of 500 nits and a 20:9 aspect ratio. Notably, the punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera serves as a Dynamic-Island-like Magic Ring for quick notifications and brief information at the top of the screen. Additionally, the phones have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button.
Cameras
Once again, there isn’t any difference between the two when it comes to the front and main/rear cameras. Both feature a 50MP main lens paired with an “AI lens,” and the punch-hole selfie camera is an 8MP shooter. While information on video recording capabilities is not specified, it is expected to be limited to 1080p at 30 FPS.
Performance & Battery
Both the Infinix Smart 8 Pro and Smart 8 Plus share the MediaTek Helio G36 SoC. However, they differ in memory configurations. The Smart 8 Plus has 4 GB of RAM, while the Pro variant offers a higher option with 8 GB of RAM and storage choices of 64 GB or 128 GB. Both phones run on the efficient Android 13 Go, designed for budget devices, and come with Infinix’s custom XOS 13 skin.
In terms of battery, as mentioned earlier, the Pro has a 5,000 mAh cell with 10W wired charging, while the Plus model surpasses this with a larger 6,000 mAh battery and faster 18W wired charging.
