The last we reported on this much-awaited Chinese SUV was in January, when we told you about its possible launch in Pakistan. It is now confirmed. This crossover SUV is being launched in Pakistan and China on the same day – March 7, 2022.
What to expect in Oshan X7
Variants
It might be launched in two variants:
- Manual
- Automatic
Both are likely to have the same specs and features.
Engine and performance
You can expect a 1.5L turbo engine, producing up to 188 horsepower and 300NM torque. It would be mated with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch gearbox.
Fuel Economy
The upcoming crossover SUVs fuel economy may range between 10.41 km/l and 16.1 km/l depending on the conditions and variants.

Changan Oshan X7 price in Pakistan
The company hasn’t revealed the Oshan X7 price in Pakistan yet. In China, it costs around 79,900 to 133,900 Yuan (about PKR 2,216,000 to 3,714,000). However, it might be launched for 5M to 7M Rupees, given the recent imposition of duties and taxes on imported vehicles.
Main competitors
Major competitors of the X7 will be Toyota Fortuner and Rush, and Haval H6 and Jolion.
Success chances in the local market
With modern features, this vehicle has all the essential elements to become successful. However, price is going to play a crucial role here. If it is launched with a higher price tag than expected, its success chances will not be very high.
