Belaz Dump Truck Launched In Pakistan

Belaz is a manufacturer of heavy-duty earthmoving equipment based in Belarus, Europe. Currently, the earthmoving machinery sector is dominated by the US and Japan in Pakistan. The new dump truck from Belorussian Company, Belaz, was launched at the Cherat Cement Factory. The cement factory has acquired the 45-tonne dump truck for transportation of rocks and clay from mines to the factory. Cherat Cement Factory will buy a total of fifteen dump trucks from Belaz in the near future.

Belaz sees the potential to sell its dump trucks in Pakistan to mining and cement sectors. The ambassador of Belarus to Pakistan has also extended an invitation to Prime Minister Imran Khan for a visit to Belarus, which will further improve the foundations of Belaz in Pakistan. The ambassador also highlighted the aim of the Belorussian government to initiate trade relations in agriculture, pharmaceuticals, and heavy machinery. This year marked the 25th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Belarus and Pakistan.

The heavy-duty machinery from Belaz has the potential to revolutionize our mining sector, making it more efficient and cost-effective. Moreover, increased competition with the US and Japanese earthmoving machinery will benefit the buyers in Pakistan. Belarus aspires to be at the forefront of export-oriented economies of the world and needs the Pakistani market for new opportunities.

Belaz manufactures more than 15 different types of dump trucks for mining operations with varying payload capacities. These trucks are made to endure very harsh conditions and can sustain temperatures in the range of -50 to 50 degrees Celsius. Currently, Belaz exports most of its products to Russian markets. Other prominent countries include Bulgaria, Vietnam, and Mongolia. Belaz began its operations back in 1948 and since then it has produced more than 145,000 construction machinery and equipment. Apart from dump trucks, Belaz also manufactures road-building equipment, mine-servicing vehicles, underground vehicles, railway freight cars, and special purpose vehicles.

Pakistani government can sign agreements with the Belorussian government and Belaz to import these heavy-duty vehicles to Pakistan at concessionary prices to uplift the construction and mining sectors of Pakistan. With Prime Minister Imran Khan undertaking several housing projects for lower-income households, the construction sector has received a boom and will require modern machinery from Belaz from time to time.
