A few months ago, we had written a blog investigating whether the use of air fryers is as healthy as their proponents claim. Our conclusion was that they are a healthier option when compared with regular deep fryers. You can read that blog here

On the whole, many are convinced that air fryers are a healthier option and therefore this product is fast becoming an essential kitchen item. Other than their health benefits, air fryers also help prepare delicious foods, especially meat items, which turn up moist and tender. If you are in the search of buying an air fryer, do give this list a read as it would help you select the best air fryer. There are many air fryers available in the market and not every one of them is the same.

Cost

What’s your budget? How much would you like to spend on an air fryer? You can get the best air fryer for your home for the range Rs.15,000 – Rs.40,000+. This includes both new and used fryers on OLX Pakistan. Also, keep in mind that the most expensive air fryer isn’t necessarily the best because the “best” depends upon what you want to get out of it.

Savings

When you are budgeting for an air fryer, take into consideration your electricity bill. An air fryer typically consumes less electricity than a conventional oven. This is because an air fryer is smaller than an oven and takes less electricity to run. However, if you intend to use an air fryer for longer periods of time then you may not save as much. So, keep in mind this aspect as well. An air fryer is ideal for cooking in small batches.

Size

Knowing a fryer’s size is very important if you are looking for the best air fryer for your home. This brings us to the size of an air fryer – how big should your air fryer be? The size of an air fryer’s cooking capacity is measured in litres. A fryer of 2.0L to 3.0L is enough for one to two persons. However, for a family of four, you would need a fryer of 6L or more.

If you’ll be using an air fryer on a regular basis to serve a large family, you’ll be better off buying a toaster oven, a type of air fryer. Toaster ovens usually offer a larger capacity than a standard air fryer.

Settings

Air fryers offer a variety of settings. A standard, basic air fryer would typically come with a manual dial to adjust time and temperature. Others would offer one touch dedicated programs to cook particular dishes. This can help you save a lot of time and provide you with convenience. In short, the more functions it has, the higher the cost of an air fryer. So, be sure of what you actually need to avoid wasting money.

Safety

Machines tend to get hot while in use and air fryers are no exception. An air fryer placed in a kitchen in Pakistan – imagine the heat around it, which can affect its internal temperature. So, an air fryer would require adult supervision to avoid any untoward incident.

Cleaning

How easy is it to clean an air fryer after use? Air fryer accessories are usually dishwasher safe; however, toaster ovens require hand cleaning. This point may not be very high on your list but it is important as air fryers are typically considered convenient but if you aren’t used to washing dishes with your hands, they may become cumbersome.

Storage

Before you go out and buy the biggest air fryer available in the market, make sure you know where you’ll be placing and storing it. There needs to be a power socket where you intend to place and use your air fryer. Also, it’s a machine which would require some space for ventilation while in use. Remember, toaster ovens are heavier than traditional air fryers.

Use

Ask yourself, how often would you be using an air fryer? And answer truthfully. Do not buy an air fryer on a whim or because a friend recommended it or because it’s an “in thing” nowadays, etc. You should buy this machine only if you are prepared to use it for a long period of time.

These were some of the main things one must keep in mind while shopping for the best air fryer for their home. Let us know your shopping experience when buying an air fryer. Do you have any recommendations to make?
