In the middle of the economic crisis, Toyota Pakistan launched Fortuner GR-S and Revo GR-S. Both variants come with some design upgrades to give the vehicles a more sporty aesthetics. You must be curious about the term “GR-S”, the price and the features of new variants, right? So, let’s see the highlights of both new variants.
What is GR-S?
GR stands for Gazoo Racing which is a sub-brand of Toyota. GR-S stands for Gazoo Racing Sport. GR-S variants are entry-level conversions of existing models to give them a more sporty look.
Toyota Fortuner GR-S
Toyota Fortuner GR-S looks like more of an upgraded Fortuner Legender with modified aesthetics. From the front side, the size of the fog lights compartment is larger whereas the size of the bottom grille/lip is shrunk a bit. The design of the alloy rim is changed as well. All these changes are done to give it a sporty look.
From the inside, there have been numerous changes. The steering has leather with a GR emblem on the bottom side. Push Start and Optitron Meter have GR emblems as well. Seats have red stitching and GR emblem embroidery on the front side. With all these interior modifications, one can feel the difference right away after entering the new Fortuner.

Toyota Revo GR-S
Just like Fortuner GR-S, there are some design changes in Revo GR-S. Its look is closer to the Revo Rocco but a little modified. From the front side, its fog lamp section is larger. The front grille shape is changed. Instead of the logo, Toyota is written on the front grille now. Door handles and over-fenders now have body color.
Coming to the interior, you will see the design upgrade just like the Fortuner GR-S having a black leather finish and red stitching. GR-S emblems on steering, push start, Optitron meter, and front seats. The new design gives an instant sporty feel after entering the truck.

Well! The new variants with the sporty look are the costliest of the Fortuner and Revo lineups. Both Toyota Fortuner and Hilux (including Revo) were the highest-selling cars for January 2023. But no one can guarantee if this step will increase Toyota’s sales or not because of the worsening economic situation of the country.
