Recently, it’s noticed that the Suzuki Every has been discontinued. Yes, the same Every that replaced Bolan is no longer available. Don’t get disheartened if you were planning to buy one as only the base variant (Every VX) has been discontinued. You can still get Every VXR as it’s currently listed on Suzuki’s website.
This change wasn’t really announced in the media I guess as the company silently stopped offering it. The Every, initially introduced as a more modern alternative to the long-running Bolan, is a minivan suitable for families, small businesses, schools, and pick-and-drop services. It was introduced in two variants: VX (basic) and VXR (comparatively better equipped).
So Why Discontinue the VX?
While there’s no official explanation, a few things make sense:
- The VX was a very basic version. Most people who buy a vehicle for daily passenger use prefer some level of comfort and convenience, which the VXR already provides.
- The majority of buyers might be choosing the VXR so, continuing to produce the VX may not have been practical.
In simple words: it looks like the market likely chose the VXR, and Suzuki responded accordingly.
What Does This Mean for Buyers?
If someone was planning to buy the Every and was hoping for the most affordable version, they may now need to explore the used Every. On the other hand, new buyers will only see the VXR as the available option. It does come with better features and comfort, so from a user experience point of view, it might work out better for most people anyway.
