OLX Autofest, the first dynamic auto and drift show, has been concluded, leaving unforgettable memories among the attendees. Around 6,000 automobile enthusiasts, including families, experienced a dynamic blend of exotic and sports cars on display, along with action-packed drifting performances in a single event for the first time.
Event Details
The OLX Autofest, organized by OLX in collaboration with the Team Driverz Club, was held on January 26, 2025, at the Expo Center in Karachi. It featured over 100 cars, from classic rare to modern beasts, including sports, exotic, vintage, and modified vehicles.
Automobile Exhibition
If I talk about the most prominent cars presented at the event, they would be the Nissan GTR R35, the only Nissan Silvia of Pakistan, Porsche GT4 RS, Nissan GTR R33 Godzilla, Nissan 300 ZX, Mercedes AMG Lineup, BMW Lineup, Mini Coopers, Jaguar, Mitsubishi Evo, Nissan 350z, RX8 lineup, Subaru Impreza, etc.
Some rare jewels, like the Ford Thunderbird 1960 and the Rolls Royce Corniche Cloud 1957, were also showcased during the event. Additionally, a made-in-Pakistan bomb-proof armoured vehicle named Zarb-e-Haider was also displayed at the event by SMTAC, which caught the attention of many people.
Drifting
As I am a big fan of Fast & Furious Tokyo Drift, the live drifting performances with 40 drift cars were the most exciting parts of the event for me as well as many other automobile enthusiasts. Famous drifters, including Usama Siddique, Adeel Yaqoob, Talha Bin Azhar, Raja Faizan, Dina Patel, Laiba Hussain, and many others, showcased their talents through precision slides and Tokyo Drift-inspired stunts.
This event turned the drifting dream of many people into reality as people could enjoy the live action up close with the Drift Taxi (passenger rides). As the OLX Autofest was really a festival for automobile enthusiasts, fans could meet with famous bikers, influencers, and YouTubers, including Maaz Safdar, Waqas GM, ProTaa, and many others.
20+ sponsors were also onboarded, and they showcased their products, making the event even more exciting. Many people came with their families and had a great time as they enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere at the food stalls and explored a variety of cuisines as well.
Conclusion
All in all, OLX Autofest was quite a fun event for automobile enthusiasts and families. This dynamic event brought together the automotive exhibition, consisting of 100 cars, along with the drifting show with around 40 drifting cars, for the first time in Karachi.
