Big Relief for Islamabad Car Owners Upon Transfer

The auto industry is going through one of the worst times. Prices of vehicles have increased numerous times since last year. Due to this, many people are buying used cars instead. In this regard, there is some relief for Islamabad car owners who want to sell their vehicles. They don’t need to bring their car for physical examination in Islamabad anymore when transferring it.

As the number of Islamabad and Punjab-registered cars is on the rise, it is a great initiative to facilitate people. Before this initiative, the Islamabad car owners had to take their vehicles to Islamabad for physical inspection. This practice was wasting the fuel, money, and precious time of people.

With this new initiative, vehicle owners can go to the inspection centers in Lahore, Bahawalpur, Multan, and Faisalabad. In the 2nd phase, this service will be available in Karachi and Quetta, but there is no confirmation yet.

As reported in a major media outlet, a smartphone application has been developed for the verification of vehicle registration and chassis numbers in Punjab and Islamabad – Director General (DG) of the Punjab Excise and Taxation Department, Muhammad Ali.

Despite contacting relevant authorities on multiple occasions, we cannot officially confirm this news yet. A media outlet has also said that this initiative is for both Islamabad and Punjab car owners which is still not confirmed yet.

Conclusion

Overall, it is a great initiative which will not only save fuel expenses of Islamabad car owners but also save the hassle of going to the capital city for vehicle examination. In this digital age, these types of initiatives could be taken way earlier which could’ve saved a lot of money. The government should also identify the pain points of people and bring these types of policies to facilitate them.
