Expired License Relief
Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, has announced relief for drivers whose driving licenses have expired. The increased fine for licenses that expired before January 16, 2024, has now been removed. This means that people can renew their licenses at the old fee rates.
However, it is important to note that the new fee structure will be imposed on licenses that expire on or after January 16, 2024. These drivers will have to pay the new fee rates. Previously, the fine for an expired license ranged from 75 to 500 rupees per year.
