Documents Required
- Original CNIC
- Learner driving license (at least 42 days old)
Age Criteria
- Non Commercial: 18 years & above.
- Commercial: 21 years & above.
- HTV Endorsement: 22 years & above.
Test of competency for Permanent Driving License
Theoretical Test: 25 questions (100 marks)
Passing Criteria: 18 correct answers (72 marks)
Note:
- The applicant is required to bring his/her vehicle (now necessarily in his/her name) for the driving test.
- If failed (in written or driving test), the applicant can reappear for the test after 42 days (by following the same procedure)
- Road Test requires as laid down in the third schedule of Motor Vehicle Ordinance -1965. The requirements will be explained by the qualified testing officers to the applicant, on the spot. DLS system shall renew your driving license for further (05) from the date of the process to onward. In case of endorsement of the HTV category it is mandatory to have driving license experience of at least (03) years.
Disqualification of a candidate in obtaining the driving license if suffering from any disease or disability as mentioned in the second schedule.
Second Schedule (See Section 7(5))
I. Disease and disabilities absolutely disqualifying a person for obtaining a license to drive a motor vehicle.
1. Epilepsy.
2. Lunacy.
3. Heart disease likely to produce sudden attack of giddiness or fainting.
4. Inability to distinguish with each eye at a distance of twenty-five yards in good daylight (with the aid of glasses, if worn) a series of seven letters and figures in white on a black ground of the same size and arrangement as those of the registration mark of a motor car.
5. Color blindness or inability readily to distinguish the pigmentary colors red and green.
6. Night blindness
II. Diseases and disabilities absolutely disqualifying a person for obtaining a license to drive a public service vehicle.

Procedure to Get a Driving License in Sindh
Here is the step-by-step procedure to apply for a permanent driving license in Sindh.
- Book an appointment online
- Go to reception and get forms (application and medical)
- Get your token
- Go to the registration counter
- Fee submission
- Go to snap/picture counter
- Go for Medical Examination
- Give Written / Sign Test
- Give Road Test
- DSP approval
- Data checking
- Card printing (sent for printing)
Note:
- The applicant has to book an online appointment
- The card will arrive within 10 days after completing the process successfully. (The receipt given to you allows driving during this period)
- Permanent Driving License validity: 03 / 05 years.
