Pakistan’s first locally-manufactured Hybrid-Electric-Vehicle (HEV) – Haval H6 HEV – has been finally launched. Surprisingly, this feat is achieved by neither Toyota nor Honda but Haval Pakistan, a joint venture between Sazgar Engineering Works Limited and China’s Great Wall Motors (GWM).
While Toyota Indus is scheduled to launch its first locally-manufactured hybrid SUV – Corolla Cross – in 2023, Sazgar has beaten them to it with the locally assembled Haval H6 Hybrid. The company has also started taking limited bookings for the Haval H6 HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicle).

The launch of Haval H6 HEV has left many amazed due to its impressive features and specs. As Sazgar Engineering has established a plant for hybrid vehicles’ assembly, we can assume that the company is here for a long time.
With many advanced safety and comfort features, H6 Hybrid surely has got the ingredients to impress many customers. However, it’s an HEV which costs almost Rs.10 million, So, it may have limited interested audience. Also, Sazgar is not as old a brand as Toyota or Honda. So, we will have to wait and see the consumer response.
