Flying cars may still be a few years away, but we may soon see a car with a shower. Fiat has recently unveiled its smallest electric vehicle, the Fiat Topolino quadricycle. One variant of this car will come with a built-in shower.
Body, Design and Color
This compact car measures 2.53 meters in length. It takes inspiration from the Citroën Ami but incorporates unique front and rear designs to give it a distinctive Fiat appearance. It features a unique wheel design and a single interior configuration.
The Topolino is available in one color only – Verde Vita.
Variants
The Topolino is available in two body configurations:
- The closed Topolino – For urban environments.
- The open, beach-themed Topolino Dolcevita – For seaside locations. The Dolcevita variant boasts a large canvas roof, ropes instead of doors, and other beach-inspired features. It is this variant, which comes with a shower.
Fiat offers enhanced equipment levels for the Topolino, including a chrome luggage rack called the Dolcevita Box, which provides a functional fabric band inside for storing personal items, as well as vintage chrome effect mirrors.
Bells and Whistles
Customers have the opportunity to personalize their Topolino with various options. These include a shower attachment for rinsing off after a day at the beach, wooden effect stickers on the doors of the closed model, and roof stickers with stripes for the Dolcevita variant. Fiat also offers five optional accessories:
- A spacious rack bag
- A USB fan
- A Bluetooth speaker
- A thermal water bottle for hot and cold beverages, and
- Two seat covers that double as soft beach towels when needed
Top Speed and Battery
The Topolino has a top speed of 45 km per hour and offers a driving range of up to 75 kilometers. This is made possible by a 5.4-kilowatt-hour battery that charges from zero to 100 percent in approximately four hours.
Price and Reservations
In Italy, both versions of the Topolino are priced at $10,770 (Rs.3m). Reservations for the compact Fiat Topolino have recently opened in Italy and France. The first deliveries are expected to take place by the end of the year in the Italian market. For now, the company has no plans of offering this EV in Pakistan.
Hypothetically speaking, if this EV were available in Pakistan, would you buy it or its closest price-wise competitor in the market, the Suzuki Alto? Let us know.
