Growing up in Pakistan, one cannot forget the smoke emitting three-wheeler rickshaws. However, our next generation may not have to see the same image anymore. Thanks to Sazgar, Pakistan’s first fully electric three-wheel rickshaw – Sazgar eVe electric rickshaw has been made available in the market and its booking has been opened as well.
Named eVe, Sazgar eVe electric rickshaw could be a game changer on our roads given that we have enough and cheaper electricity to get its three wheels going. So, without further ado, let’s look at its design, spec, features and most importantly its price.
Sazgar eVe Electric Rickshaw Design
You’ll be forgiven for saying that eVe doesn’t look radically different from the existing rickshaw. This is because it has been built on the existing rickshaw’s architecture and footprint. However, eVe is no traditional rickshaw as it is redesigned to meet the modern urban landscape.

These statistics are taken from the company’s official website. However, it is not known why Sazgar is claiming that a rickshaw carrying a bigger battery pack would weigh the same as the rickshaw carrying a smaller battery pack.

The company is claiming that the owner of this e-rickshaw would save Rs.226,800 per year in terms of fuel and Rs.66,000 in terms of maintenance cost. It will take some time before people can gauge the veracity of this claim.
