The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is now welcoming tourists, not just pilgrims.
For centuries, Saudi Arabia has been a destination for Muslims from around the world for religious purposes. However, in recent times, the Kingdom has opened its doors to visitors for non-religious purposes, attracting tourists from various countries, including Pakistan.
If you are a Pakistani citizen residing permanently in the US, UK, or a Schengen state, or if you hold a valid tourist or business visa for the US, UK, or a Schengen state, you can now apply for an e-visa to enter the Kingdom for tourism. Additionally, if you are a permanent resident of any European Union (EU) country, you can enter the Kingdom with your immediate family members and obtain a visa on arrival. It’s important to note that this visa cannot be used for performing Hajj or Umrah during the pilgrimage season.
There is no extra charge for the e-visa, and it will be valid for one year with multiple entries, allowing visitors to stay in the Kingdom for up to three months. Since July 24, 2023, the Saudi government has been issuing e-visas to Pakistanis who intend to enter the Kingdom for labor, visit or residency purposes. Previously, sticker visas were issued.
