Tecno Camon 19 Series Officially Announced

After the success of Tecno Camon 18 series, the company has launched Camon’s next series. Yes! We are talking about the Tecno Camon 19 series. The company has announced 4 devices (Camon 19 Neo, Camon 19, Camon 19 Pro and Camon 19 Pro 5G) in an event at Rockefeller Center in New York.

Tecno Camon 19 Pro 5G

Tecno Camon 19 Pro 5G is one of the two high end models introduced in this series. However, it offers the best performance among others due to its better processor – MediaTek Dimensity 810 (6 nm). This device has 8 GB RAM and 128GB/256GB ROM. Tecno has introduced this device with the latest software (Android 12, HIOS 8.6). It has a 120 Hz 6.8-inches IPS LCD display and provides super smooth results. But the AMOLED Panel is missing here, which is available in many devices nowadays.

Its triple camera setup contains a 64 MP primary shooter, 2 MP macro, and 2 MP depth sensors. The front side of this device contains a 16 MP selfie-camera. Camon 19 Pro 5G also comes with NFC connectivity. In terms of battery, it supports 33W fast charging that might not be enough as Infinix Note VIP now comes with 120 W fast charging. Its price is not announced yet.

Tecno Camon 19 Pro

Tecno Camon 19 Pro might be the device many people would love. It is due to its balanced performance with excellent camera. Yes! This device is the first one to get a 64 MP RGBW camera sensor.

In terms of performance, it has Mediatek Helio G96 processor, 8 GB RAM and 128GB/256GB ROM, and Android 12, HIOS 8.6 software. Talking about its camera, this device comes with a triple-camera setup with a 64 MP primary shooter accompanied by a 50 MP telephoto camera and a 2 MP depth sensor. Its selfie camera is 32 MP which makes this phone the best camera device in this series.

Other features are almost the same as Camon 19 Pro 5G.

Tecno Camon 19 Pro Price in Pakistan

Its price is about €200 (approx Rs.44,000). Its expected launch is in July 2022.

Tecno Camon 19

Here comes the mid level device from Camon 19 series. Some might be disappointed with its performance as it has a MediaTek Helio G85 chipset which is a bit outdated for 2022. It will be available in 8.6 128GB 4GB RAM and 128GB 6GB RAM options. Latest software (Android 12, HIOS) is the only advantage of this device.

It has a triple camera setup with the same primary sensor as in the Camon 19 Pro accompanied by.the 2 MP depth and QVGA sensors. It has a 16 MP selfie camera just like Camon 19 Pro 5G. This device will come with a 5000 mAh battery and 18W charging support. Stay tuned for its price update.

Tecno Camon 19 Neo

Here comes the least performing and budget device of this series. Tecno Camon 19 Neo has the same chipset (MediaTek Helio G85) as Camon 19. But the camera is downgraded here as its primary camera is 48 MP with 2 MP depth sensor and a QVGA camera. Surprisingly, it has a 32 MP selfie-camera (better than Camon 19).

Final Verdict

Well, the Tecno Camon 18 series was a great success in Pakistan due to its competitive specs (versus Infinix Note series) and budget-friendly price. However, now the specs are not competitive with the Infinix Note series. So, it looks like many would buy Tecno Camon 18 instead of 19 series. However, keep an eye on the launch price as the company can still get a competitive edge with its pricing strategy.
