Samsung Galaxy A26 Price in Pakistan

The price of the Samsung Galaxy A26 is Rs. 84,999 in Pakistan. Other Samsung phones are available at lower prices on OLX.

Design

The Galaxy A series lovers will immediately spot the difference in the A26, as it is thinner, larger, and comes with a bold camera module with a black background. From the front side, the phone still has a notch display, which people who are paying around 85K might not like, as punch-hole selfie cameras have become the norm these days.

Coming to the build quality, it has improved a lot with IP67 dust/water resistance & Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection on both front and rear sides. Keep in mind that these protection features were not available in the Galaxy A25.

Display

Another upgrade here: the Galaxy A26 has a larger 6.47-inch screen compared to the 6.5-inch screen of its predecessor. The quality remains the same, as it has the Super AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. Some might notice that the bezels have also reduced a little, but the big chin is still there, which doesn’t suit a phone costing 85K.

Performance

Samsung has worked quite well in this area too by introducing the Exynos 1380 chipset. With this chipset and AnTuTu scores of nearly 580K, it is not only better than the A25, but it can also compete with phones like the OPPO Reno 13F, Realme 13 Plus, and even the Vivo V40e. Moreover, the company has announced up to 6 major Android upgrades for this mobile phone, which is a huge support plan.

Camera

Well, we don’t have much to celebrate here, as the Galaxy A26 comes with nearly the same cameras as its predecessor. The rear side has a triple camera setup with a 50 MP primary, 8 MP ultrawide, and 2 MP macro cameras. The slight improvement here is the OIS and 480fps slow-motion video recording capabilities. The front side has the same 13MP camera as its precursor.

Features

Still no under-display fingerprint sensor! The Galaxy A26 comes with nearly the same general features as the A25. I was expecting an under-display fingerprint sensor, which is now available even in phones costing Rs. 35K. Samsung is one of the best mobile companies in Pakistan, yet it fails to provide such a basic thing, which many people might not like. The good thing is, the circle to search AI feature is now available in this phone.

Here are some other general features:

ConnectivityWi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct
Bluetooth 5.3, A2DP, LEGPS, GALILEO, GLONASS, BDS, QZSS
NFC
USB Type-C 2.0, OTG
SensorsFingerprint (side-mounted), accelerometer,
gyro, compass, Virtual proximity sensing

Battery & Charging

It’s the area that disappointed me the most. We are still getting a 25W charger at the price point where some companies are even providing 80W fast charging. Samsung needs to upgrade this as it’s not the charging speed many would want nowadays after paying this much. The battery is the same 5000 mAh even after reducing the phone’s thickness, which is a positive thing here.

Conclusion

In the end, the Galaxy A26 is a complete package and has a lot of upgrades, making it an even more eye-catching option for people who already have the Galaxy A25. Enhanced performance, a larger display, improved protection, etc., are some of the enhancements that I like the most.

There are some areas where the company needs to work, like charging speed, fingerprint sensor, notch, and chin, as many phones at this price point can outperform the Galaxy A26 in these areas. But for the Samsung lovers, it’s not about the money; it’s about the loyalty. So, let’s see how it performs in the market.
