Realme Unveils Bold Concepts with 15,000mAh Battery and World’s First “AC” Cooling

Realme Unveils Bold Concepts with 15,000mAh Battery and World’s First “AC” Cooling

At its annual 828 Fan Festival in China, Realme surprised fans with two experimental smartphones that push the boundaries of what a phone can do. One prototype carries a massive 15,000mAh battery, while the other introduces a built-in cooling fan with a thermoelectric system that Realme describes as the world’s first “AC” phone.

The 15,000mAh Concept Phone

The first device, featuring a clean design with a horizontal camera bar, is all about extreme battery life. Realme revealed that it uses a 100% silicon anode battery design with an energy density of 1,200 Wh/L, almost four times that of standard smartphone cells.

Realme claims this phone can last up to a full week on a single charge, or at least five days for heavy users. While exact testing conditions weren’t shared, the idea of fitting such a huge capacity into a regular-sized phone is remarkable.

Even with that battery size, the phone is only 8.89mm thick, thanks to optimized packaging and rearranged internal components. The power cell itself is just 6.48mm deep. Though full specs weren’t announced, reports suggest it may come with a Dimensity 7300 chipset, 12GB RAM, and a 6.7-inch display.

The Realme “Chill Fan” Concept

The second concept, nicknamed the Chill Fan Phone, focuses on heat management. It houses a 10,000mAh battery and combines three cooling technologies to keep the device up to 6°C cooler under heavy use.

  • A 7,700mm² vapor cooling chamber, one of the largest seen in a phone, pulls heat away from the chipset.
  • A spinning internal fan provides active cooling, similar to what you’d find in gaming devices.
  • A thermoelectric system based on the Peltier effect acts like a miniature AC unit, making this the first smartphone of its kind.

Interestingly, the phone’s rear shield, called IseSense Ultra, shifts colors as the temperature drops, giving visual feedback on cooling. From the outside, it resembles the Realme GT 7 series, apart from a side grille that houses the fan.

What’s Next?

Both concepts highlight Realme’s R&D work in battery life and thermal innovation. However, these are not commercial devices, at least for now. Unless Realme changes its plans, the 15,000mAh monster and the “AC” cooled phone will remain prototypes.
