Many of us think that Samsung might be the best mobile company in Pakistan. It was true until last year, but in 2024 Infinix took 1st place. Now, you must be thinking of the 2nd, 3rd, and other mobile companies rankings. Well! I have the latest list of the best mobile companies in Pakistan as well as all the world’s best mobile companies.
So, let’s see the market share of the top mobile brands in Pakistan.
Top Mobile Brands in Pakistan
As we can see in the chart, the best mobile brand in Pakistan is Infinix, dethroning Samsung in 2024, with nearly 16.51% of the mobile phone market share. It is followed by Samsung & Vivo with 15.35% and 13.11% market shares, respectively.
Oppo is the 4th largest mobile phone brand with an 11.76% market share. Shockingly, Xiaomi is not even on the list of the top 5 mobile companies in Pakistan, whereas it’s the 3rd best mobile company globally. Huawei, which was in the 5th position in 2022, is nowhere in the list of the top 10 mobile brands in Pakistan, as people have lost interest in and don’t want to buy mobile phones of this brand due to OS and Google Play Store issues.
Is Infinix Really the Top Mobile Company in Pakistan?
We all know that Samsung was the market leader before, and the throne belongs to Infinix now. However, from another perspective, there is a group that beats it in terms of market share. I am talking about Oppo, Vivo, Realme, and OnePlus, as all of them have the same roots, BBK Electronics Corporation. It is the parent company of Oppo and Vivo. OnePlus is a subsidiary of Oppo whereas Realme was also a sub-brand of Oppo. So, let’s see their combined market share compared to the others.
Well! This chart shows that Infinix is in 2nd place if we combine the sales of Oppo, Vivo, Realme, and OnePlus.
Chinese vs. Other Mobile Companies in Pakistan
There was a time when most people in Pakistan tended to avoid Chinese mobile phones. But now the dynamics have changed. Let’s see the total market share of Chinese companies vs. others in Pakistan.
As we can see, Chinese mobile phone brands have captured over 70% market share in Pakistan. It shows how dominant Chinese companies have become nowadays in the Pakistani smartphone market. The main advantage these companies provide to the consumers is the value-to-money compared to other brands. So, we can see the positive results in the chart for the Pakistani market.
World’s Best Mobile Companies
When we think of the top mobile brands in the world, Apple and Samsung strike our minds instantly. Apple has indeed a bigger market share compared to Samsung in 2024. Xiaomi is the 3rd biggest mobile phone company, with over 11% of the global market share compared to its 6th position in Pakistan. It shows there is a lot of gap for Xiaomi to fill in the country. It also indicates that the progress of Xiaomi’s market share in Pakistan will be one of the key factors in improving its position globally, as Pakistan is a big smartphone market with an estimated revenue of US$3.8bn in the smartphone market in 2024.
Huawei is standing in 4th place in terms of global market share despite restrictions and the unavailability of Google Play services on its phones. Shockingly, Infinix, the top mobile brand in Pakistan, is not even among the 10 best mobile companies in the world, as it stands at 11th position in 2024.
Conclusion
The above-mentioned charts show that the top mobile brands in Pakistan are different from the world’s top mobile companies. We have seen that Infinix may be the best mobile company in Pakistan in terms of market share, but if we combine Oppo, Vivo, Realme, and OnePlus market shares as they have the same roots, they easily take the 1st place in this list.
Another fact is that Chinese mobile brands are dominating the Pakistani smartphone market with over 70% of Pakistan’s total mobile market share. As the dollar rate has been somewhat stable for quite some time, we will have to see the market share of each brand closely for the year 2025.
