Bad news for those looking to buy a KIA as the company has increased its car prices again. Effective from today, March 1, 2022, prices have been increased by as much as Rs.475,000. As per the company, the reason to increase the prices is the significant increase in the sea freight on the import of parts.
Here are the updated prices of KIA Picanto, Sportage, and Stonic.

Effects on local consumer
Only a couple of days ago, MG had increased the prices of its premium model, HS by Rs.2,300,000. And now KIA has made its vehicles more expensive. It seems, the SUV segment will be affected the most in the coming days and their sales numbers could see a dip.
An important thing to note is that KIA increased the prices of its cars as recently as in January. KIA fans will not be happy with another price hike in such a short period of time.
