How Much is the Increase in the Registration and Transfer Fee?
The Punjab Excise and Taxation Department has not yet announced how much the increase is. However, it is advised to get the vehicles registered timely manner without having to pay more charges.
The following is the current vehicle transfer fee depending on the engine capacities. Have a look:

Number Plates To Be Issued on the CNIC
Besides this, there are some other changes made as well. The vehicle number plates will now be issued on the owner’s CNIC instead of the vehicle. This way, the owner can keep the number plate while selling the vehicle and reuse it for the new vehicle.
Furthermore, this new vehicle registration system, introduced in Punjab, aims to increase security and prevent illegal activities.
