For people who don’t know about CVT transmission. CVT stands for Continuously Variable Transmission. It doesn’t have any specific gears; instead, the whole system works on a simple belt and pulleys. This system has infinite gear ratios that are pulled off depending on the acceleration and power requirements. Endless gear ratios mean a better fuel average. This new automatic technology is lightweight, efficient and durable due to fewer moving parts.

Toyota Corolla 1.6 CVTi Price in Pakistan
Here are the ex-factory prices of new Corolla Altis 1.6 CVT variants.

- Corolla Altis CVT 1.6 Special Edition: Rs.5,479,000
Conclusion
For many people who were looking to buy a Corolla, it is excellent news. However, some may also criticize Toyota’s policy of modifying the existing generation (11th) and not bringing the latest 12th generation Corolla into the country (already available globally since 2018).
Toyota Corolla along with the Yaris is the highest-selling sedan in Pakistan as per Latest PAMA Report. But the same report suggests that its sales have dropped by nearly 60% compared to November last year. So, it would be better if the company introduces the new generation of the car which may result in giving a boost to its sales in the country.
