For the past 40 years, Ferrari has consistently used V8 engines in its renowned models. While the basic design stayed the same, the engines varied in technology, size, and forced induction. The Ferrari V8 has earned 15 awards in the automotive industry, including four consecutive ‘Engine of the Year’ awards from 2016 to 2019. To pay homage to its iconic engine, Ferrari launched the Ferrari F8 Tributo in 2019 at the Geneva International Motor Show. In this blog, you will learn all about this supercar, including the Ferrari F8 Tributo price in Pakistan.
Ferrari F8 Tributo’s Design
Like many other Ferrari models, this Ferrari was also designed by renowned car designer Flavio Manzoni. With the F8 Tributo, Manzoni and his team aimed to establish a new exterior design language for future models. The design process focused on paying homage to the Ferrari V8 engine while giving the F8 Tributo a distinct personality through sporty design and advanced aerodynamics.
The front end of the F8 Tributo incorporates a Ferrari F1-derived S-Duct to generate efficient vertical load. It adopts a radiator layout inspired by the 488 Challenge, reducing drag. Additionally, aerodynamic side intakes and splitters are integrated into the bumper, creating a visual link to the rear. The side design includes air intake layouts derived from the 488 Challenge, contributing to engine cooling and power increase. The flat underbody features front diffusers and vortex generators for enhanced aerodynamics and brake cooling efficiency.
Moving to the rear, the F8 Tributo boasts a broader, more inclined blown spoiler with up-washing suction for increased vertical load. Rear flux deflectors under the spoiler aid in reducing drag, while rear diffusers maximize performance on both straight lines and corners. This comprehensive approach to design and aerodynamics underscores the commitment to performance and visual appeal in the Ferrari F8 Tributo.
Ferrari F8 Tributo’s Engine: The Most Powerful Engine In 20 Years
The F8 Tributo inherits a 3.9-liter 90-degree bi-turbo V-8 engine from the special-edition 488 Pista, with Ferrari tweaking it to produce a remarkable 710hp at 8,000 rpm and 568 lb-ft of torque at 3,250 rpm. This engine stands as the most powerful V-8 ever featured in a non-special series Ferrari, boasting 182 horsepower per liter of displacement. Surpassing the 488 GTB by 50hp and 7lb-ft of torque, and considering its recognition as the best engine in the past two decades, the F8 Tributo achieves a swift 2.9-second 0-60 mph time and an impressive 211 mph or 339.5 km/h top speed, showcasing its exceptional design and performance.
Ferrari F8 Tributo Price in Pakistan
As mentioned above, the Ferrari F8 Tributo was launched in 2019 with an initial price of $280,000, equivalent to approximately Rs.81,060,000.00 in today’s Pakistan. This amount is exclusive of all taxes applicable to imported luxury cars in Pakistan.
The F8 Tributo comes in a standard coupe version and a convertible spider variant. Both share the same features and performance specifications, making the choice between them a matter of personal preference. Despite identical specs, the spider version costs $20,000 more but offers a more exotic driving experience.
