Punjab Government Electric Bike Scheme Announced for 15,000 Teachers!

After the launch of CM Punjab bike scheme for the students, the Punjab government has launched an initiative to provide electric bikes to 15,000 government teachers across the province now. Provincial Education Minister Sikandar Hayat has announced this scheme.

The implementation of this electric bike scheme for teachers will be in three stages. Curious about the phases? Let’s see the bike distribution in different phases:

  • 1st Phase: 5,000 electric bikes
  • 2nd & 3rd Phase: 10,000 electric bikes

Minister Sikandar Hayat highlighted that switching to electric bikes will help teachers cut down on transportation costs. He expressed optimism about the scheme’s potential to offer financial savings and contribute to environmental conservation.

The announcement of the scheme comes with ongoing registrations for distributing 20,000 motorcycles to students in five Punjab cities, including Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, and Lahore. The plan includes 19,000 petrol bikes and 1,000 electric bikes for eligible students.
