Changan Offering Limited Time Booking Rebate Up to Rs.378,000

Master Changan Motors Limited (MCML) has announced that they’re offering a limited time rebate on all new and previous bookings.

Here is the latest.

Analysis

The statement issued by the company’s sales and marketing director makes it sound as if the company is making it easy for the people to own Changan vehicles by reducing their ownership cost. However, Changan’s most-selling vehicle in Pakistan is Alsvin and the company is not offering any rebate on its registration cost. 

So, the latest limited time offer is likely to be a marketing technique to boost the sales of Oshan X7, Karvaan and Sherpa. It is worth mentioning that sometime ago, Peugeot also offered the same deal on its SUV, Peugeot 2008 and it increased its sales. So, Changan Pakistan has probably taken a leaf out of Peugeot’s playbook. 

Whatever the case may be, it is a commendable step as any reduction in owner’s cost in the present hyper-inflationary environment would be appreciated by many, especially potential Changan buyers.
