iTel A100 Launched With 12GB RAM And 90 Hz Display

The market for mobiles under Rs. 25,000 is buzzing as the iTel A100 has been introduced at a budget-friendly price to compete with the Tecno Spark Go 2 and Infinix Smart 10. But how will it compete with these two popular phones? Is  it going to be memory, RAM, size, or anything else? The price of iTel A100 is Rs. 22,999 which is a little less than the Spark Go 2 and Smart 10. Now, let’s see where it stands in terms of specs and features.

The iTel A100 might not be the slimmest phone with the 8.3mm thickness, but its design is quite similar to the Samsung A17 if you look at the rear camera setup. It has IP65 dust & water resistance which is better than the IP64 ratings of the Spark Go 2 & Smart 10. But the camera notch on the front side gives it a slightly older look because its competitors come with punch-hole camera cutouts.

Don’t expect much from the performance side as the iTel comes with a Unisoc T7250 chipset which is decent for normal use but not for heavy games. The good news is, you get a 128GB storage which is better than its competitors (64GB). Also, it has 4GB of RAM that is expandable to 8GB (4GB+8G=12GB). Now, that’s a real deal!

If you love large screens, the iTel A100 is going to satisfy you with its 6.74” HD+ Display. It has a 90hz screen which is decent but the competitors offer 120 hz screens. But that’s not a big difference in reality. The quality is going to be par as it’s not a Full HD display.

Coming to the cameras, it’s where the iTel A100 doesn’t shine as much. It has an 8MP rear and an 8MP front camera just like the Infinix Smart 10. Tecno Spark Go 2 beats both with the 13MP rear camera. The camera quality is not entirely dependent on the megapixels though.

The iTel A100 comes with the regular 5,000 mAh battery and 15W charging which is common at this price point. So,no surprises here!

In the end, the iTel A100 is quite an interesting phone under Rs. 25,000. It beats the competitors in the water and dust resistance, display size, memory, and RAM. However, it lacks in camera, display speed, front camera design (notch), etc. Now, the decision is yours!
