Honda Civic 2022 Price in Pakistan
The much anticipated Honda Civic is finally here and it’s safe to say that this is the biggest launch of 2022 till now.
This is the 11th generation Civic which was internationally launched in 2021. Its predecessor was a huge hit in Pakistan and Honda Pakistan would expect nothing less from their latest offering.
Let’s take a detailed look at this sedan and try to figure out what makes it special.
Let’s start with the interior first.
Honda Civic Interior
This new Honda Civic 2022 has revamped the old much sporty interior for a more minimalist and functional interior.
The grooves and curves on the dashboard are left for a plain and practical dashboard design.
The honeycomb shaped grill goes all the way across the dashboard’s width. This grill acts as the AC bracket, and it has an integrated switch for controlling the airflow and direction.
The same dashboard houses a 9-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functions for RS Turbo and Oriel variants. While the base model, M-CVT has a 7-inch infotainment display.
The infotainment screen is sleek, but the placement might obstruct some drivers, as we have witnessed in Hyundai Tucson. There are some optional interior colors that owners can opt for some premium amount. However, the ambient light comes as a standard feature in Civic Turbo RS.
Much like Kia Sportage, the center console is home to various functions like the drive modes, auto hold, electronic parking brake, and gear selector. The front bucket seats are quite the departure from the old generation of Honda Civic.
Rear seats are quite luxurious with headrests for three. Passengers sitting in the rear will be treated with AC vents and a charging dock.
Honda Civic Exterior
Honda has left no stone unturned when designing the car’s exterior. It’s different from the sharp, sporty, and energizing looks of the previous Civic X. It looks more like an Accord. It’s hard to tell which is which once you remove the badging.
Honda has settled with more sublime and mature looks with the new Civic. The font lights are linear without any upswept or sharp aesthetics.
The DRLs now move along the length of the light on top of LED headlamps. Like the interior, in the exterior of this new sedan there’s a honeycomb grill on the front. The hood looks enlarged with slight curvature around the front headlights and Honda emblem.
New Civic harnesses the sporty DNA of its predecessor with two strong character lines flowing across the upper and lower segments of the car. The lower sidelines melt into the glamorous multi-tier design of the rear bumper.
The rear of the vehicle falls somewhere between a coupe and a sedan. The transition between the rear window and the trunk is smooth, but the car’s tail feels small.
However, the rear headlamps are appealing with LEDs coupled with reflectors. The piano black accent flowing through the front and rear bumpers dissolve into the sheen and crisp look of this car.

What makes Honda Civic 2022 special?
There’s a lot of hype around the new Civic – how it’s better than its predecessors. Particularly, a lot is being made of its safety features like Honda Sensing and the laser brazed roof, etc.
Let’s find a bit more about these.
Laser Brazed Roof
Honda Civic 2022 has a laser brazed roof. So, what is so special about it?
Laser brazed roof is a new technology in which the aluminum roof is melted with the steel body in a different and better way. As compared to the old, traditional way of welding the body with the roof, followed by a filler material, brazing is a precise technique that only melts the borders of the two hence joining them. The melting is so precise that it doesn’t need any filler. That’s why you don’t see any plastic molding across the top of the roof of the new Honda Civic.
This provides structural enhancements to the new Honda Civic, limiting the outside noise from entering the cabin.
Honda Sensing
Honda Sensing is a set of six advanced safety features incorporated into the top variant (Civic RS 1.5L Turbo LL-CVT) of Civic 2022. This brings down an array of advanced safety features to protect accidents from happening in the first place. Some key features are,
- Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS)
- Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
- Road Departure Mitigation System (RDM)
- Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS)
- Lead Car Departure Notification System (LCDN)
- Auto High-Beam (AHB)

Honda Civic Fuel Average
The 10th generation Honda Civic is unimpressive when it comes to fuel average.
It’s too early to predict the new Civic’s fuel economy. However, what we know is that the new Civic comes with turbocharged engines with a high compression ratio. Poor quality fuel can seriously damage these fuel-sensitive engines. Considering the fuel quality in Pakistan, it’s advised only to run these new 1.5L turbo engines on high-octane fuel.
However, Honda claims that these 1.5L Turbo charged engines are good with the regular fuel RON 91.

Yesterday, Honda announced that it will provide a home delivery service to those who’ll buy their new cars. The service will cost you Rs.29,900. However, this offer is only for Honda customers in Lahore.
Competitors of New Honda Civic
Given Civic’s price, its top-of-the-line and mid variants will compete with SUVs like MG HS, KIA Sportage, Hyundai Tucson, and Hyundai Sonata. However, its base variant will compete with Toyota Corolla Grande X 1.8 CVT and Hyundai Elantra.
We will be comparing Civic 2022 with all of these. So, stay tuned to this space.
Conclusion
The new Honda Civic is definitely better than its predecessor and perhaps some of its competitors as well. However, it’s also a lot pricier than the previous Civic. We will see how well the local market receives this new sedan.
We predict that Honda will set the benchmark of price and features in Pakistan. It will be the first locally manufactured car with advanced safety features like Honda Sensing. We hope this won’t be the last.
We will be doing a lot of more insightful blogs on this sedan today, tomorrow and the day after, including comparisons. So, stay tuned for more!
