Vehicles Without Green Stickers to Be Seized in Punjab

Bad news for people who haven’t received EPA green stickers for their vehicles, the Punjab Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has made the decision to seize all the vehicle without these stickers to combat smog.

Don’t worry, you still have some time to get the sticker as this crackdown will start from November 15, 2025. The Director General of EPA Punjab, Dr. Imran Hamid Sheikh said that the emission testing is mandatory for every vehicle in Lahore. The enforcement teams are already taking actions against vehicles found to be emoting smoke or even making noise pollution.

He also warned that the officials will impound the vehicles found without the Emission Testing System (ETS) certificate (green sticker). And there is Zero tolerance against the polluting vehicles and non-compliance can result in strict legal action against the owner of the vehicle.

• Adopt hybrid or electric vehicles as they become more affordable.
• Cut down on AC use to lower energy consumption from fossil fuels.
