Due to its lack of capacity to meet orders, Toyota Indus has offered its customers the option of full booking amount refund with interest.
Toyota Indus along with some other auto assemblers in Pakistan have been observing non-production days for quite some time now. Matter of fact, Toyota’s production plant is still shutdown and will reopen on February 15, 2023.
While giving out this commendable offer, Toyota Indus has admitted that its production will remain low in the months of February and March 2023.
Ali Asghar Jamali, CEO of Toyota Indus has further said that Toyota’s current production is 40 – 45 percent of their total capacity. He blames import restrictions on the import of CKD kits and the prevailing economic conditions in the country for the local auto industry’s predicament.
