The Kia Niro is a C-segment SUV which has been in production since 2016. Globally, it is offered in three variants – hybrid, plug-in hybrid and battery electric. If the latest social media post by Kia Lucky Motor Corporation (KLMC) is anything to go by then it’s the electric variant (EV) which might be introduced in Pakistan. Though it is not known yet when it will be launched. However, it is safe to assume that whenever the launch takes place, it would be of a CBU unit.

Local Competitors and Their Price
If and when launched in Pakistan, this C-segment electric SUV will compete with the likes of MG ZS EV and others. The MG ZS EV is priced over Rs.6.2m. If launched at Rs.7m or more, Kia Niro EV will face a tough competition from the MG ZS EV though the specs and features difference between the two may offset this competition.
What may further affect the sales of Kia Niro in Pakistan is its generation. Globally, Kia has introduced the 2nd generation of this SUV in 2021, while the Niro teased in the company’s social media post is of the older generation.
