Hyundai has launched Elantra 1.6 in Pakistan at a price of Rs.4,299,000. Many people are curious to know whether it would be worth paying this much for this car. For this purpose, we are here with its comparison with other sedans.
In this blog, we will cover Elantra’s comparison with its main competitors like Toyota Corolla Altis 1.6 Special Edition. In addition, we will compare this new sedan with other cheaper sedans like Yaris (top variant) and Alsvin (top variant). This will further help you appreciate whether it is a value for money car or not.
Price comparison
Here is the price comparison of the variants we are comparing here.
1.6L Hyundai Elantra price in Pakistan | 1.6L AT Toyota Corolla Altis Special Edition (SE) Price in Pakistan | 1.5L Yaris ATIV X CVT Price in Pakistan | 1.5L Changan Alsvin DCT Lumiere price in Pakistan |

*These are ex-factory prices and actual prices will be higher after including taxes, duties, and other charges.
As can be seen, the price of Elantra 1.6 and Corolla Altis 1.6 SE is almost identical. However, there is a significant difference between the prices of Elantra, Yaris, and Alsvin. Let us see if this price difference is justified.

Final verdict
Elantra surely is a powerful C segment sedan. But it has less ground clearance as compared to Yaris and Corolla. And though it has more comfort features than the rest, some of these features are available in Alsvin as well. And no, it is not the safest of them all – Yaris is.
In this comparison, there is no one who is a clear winner. However, it is clear that the new Elantra 1.6 would have been a better option if it was launched at a lower price (Rs.3.7M-4M). At the price of Rs.4.3M, new Elantra seems overpriced as compared to the other sedans.

Toyota yaris is much better than Elentra comparing the price and other functions.
At same price tag definatly altis is better choice
If elantra wants to create market they need to reduce price
Tooooooooooooooooooo much over priced with these features even some less features than alsvin
As recommended price is high, under 4 million would be a nice price
